Black Hill chronicles is a new, experimental podcast from Omnempathy. It features a series of brief meditations on the form and function of art and music, set within an ominous location in which children go missing and hills begin to breathe and grow hungry.

The project arose as an entirely unplanned bi-product of my attempts to apply surrealist methods towards generating musical compositions for the upcoming composer residency at CMMAS, Mexico. I began to think of a certain moment in my youth when I took a wrong turn. I began to write through the process of trying to reach back across 35 years to establish where the wrong turn was taken.
I can’t say how – or if – the project will evolve. But this is as good a format as I can find to record the process.
