The LIMINAL programme at Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall, curated by New Music Scotland award winner and Queen’s Hall associate artist, Michael Begg, steps up a gear in the new year.

The Black Glass Ensemble, Begg’s astonishing new group of assembled classical players and experimentalists will make their debut performance at the Queen’s Hall on February 13th 2020.

Black Glass Ensemble are: Michael Begg (scores, samples, data feeds, erosions); Ben Ponton (receivers, recordings, forensics); Clea Friend (cello); Aisling O’Dea (violin); Julia Lungu (violin); Neil Cuthbertson (trumpet); Jen Cuthbertson (French horn); Douglas Caskie (tuned and bespoke percussion)

Opening the evening will be a solo set from Glasgow based Irish composer, Linda Buckley. Buckley, who is a lecturer in composition at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire was a performer at the first Liminal Nights event in 2019.
