The NGS Special event in support of the NOW exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art on January 10th sold out within an hour of tickets being made available.
The event, timed to align with the solar eclipse on that day, features a performance of my National Galleries of Scotland commission, A Moon That Lights Itself. This was last performed at the Royal Scottish Academy in 2016. I will be accompanied, again, by cellist Clea Friend.
Katie Paterson is one of the most exciting artists working today and I find her work deeply, deeply moving. It thrills me to be able to play a part of this exhibition. In honour of her I will be audio-manipulating a dataset detailing all recorded solar eclipses in direct reference to her work, TOTALITY.
