The Weather Engine is a 24/7 composition / installation using live data from Openweathermap to sound the day.
For the initial version the key is determined by the time of day, whilst the tempo is affected by the windspeed. Cloud cover determines the range of notes available to the engine in the defined key, whilst humidity levels influence the degree of percussive elements into the emergent composition. Pressure indicates whether it is triads or scales that are delivered to the programmed instruments.
