RMA Research Colloquia in Music

I was very happy to be asked to give a talk at the University of Glasgow this week, as part of the Royal Musical Association Research Colloquia in Music series.

I spoke about border territories in music – crossing them, existing within them, dissolving them, and making tools from them. This grew out of the same common root I had explored in Mexico City in December and so still appeared under the same title of Divorce And Reconciliation.

There was a wide range of folk from different disciplines who turned up and I really took away a lot of new ideas from the post talk exchanges.

Thanks to the music department, particularly Iain Findlay-Walsh and Louise Harris, for extending the invitation, and for looking after me so well.
