London 1666 – Watch It Burn

After shows in Berlin and Münster I had anticipated that the summer would be given over to preparing for the performance of A Moon That Lights Itself at the RSA, Edinburgh. However, a call came inviting me to produce, at short notice, sound design and composition for the multi stream broadcast of London 1666, taking place on September 4th.

The work centres around a newly commissioned piece by David Best which will see a large scale model comprising 190 buildings floated out onto the Thames and set alight in commemoration of the great fire of London.

The work will be streamed online, with an edited programme scheduled for screening on BBC4 the following day.
